Do you accommodate a big crowd. Like 30 people??
I am just confused. We came here for a birthday on a Saturday for 6 people. There were three parties total in the restaurant. Yet, somehow the service was dauntingly slow. The appetizers were good - entrees were okay. But the fun of the night was kinda ruined by the lack of service and how slow everything was. I also didn’t like the closing of the tab - they passed us a tablet around and it was just awkward at best. No privacy in closing your check. I will not be back.
MoreThe food was great. The service was quick and excellent. It was my wife's birthday so she recieved excellent cheese cake.
MoreThe Tick Toc Room is ironically named after the "tick-toc" of time it takes food or any service to come to the table. Last evening was my first and LAST time ever going to the Tick Toc Room. We had reservations for dinner there at 7:45pm; we ordered dinner at about 8:15 and our dinner finally arrived at 10pm. In that time, our water glasses were refilled once after asking multiple servers for a refill. We also asked about bread but were told it was "in the oven" which is probably burned by now since it never came. The food was mediocre at best. I highly recommend you save your time and your money and go elsewhere.
MoreMy favorite location for Quality Meals. The food was super appetizing. Certainly worth a return visit. It has a nice atmosphere.
MoreWe went to this restaurant 4 or 5 times every year. The food was good; employees are very professional. It was a nice place for night date dinner. However, the last night of 09/25/2018 was so bad. My husband and i ordered lobster bisque, cheddar salad, and rib eye bone in steak. Lobster bisque and steak were good but salad was not good. We went home and both of us were so sick. We throw up and we felt painful in stomach. The next morning, I tried to call the manager to provide them the information to help them finding the problem but they hung up the phone. Hope they read this information and take the action seriously because I want them to be successfully.
MoreShocking, but true Macon, GA has a restaurant that should be in the ATL. It is actually called the Tic Toc Room. They serve tapas as well as full dishes. But, it was so good and the atmosphere is very nice too. So, if you happen to be in Macon and want to go somewhere nice, check this place out. Oh, the bartender will make any drink you would like, they just don't do frozen.
MoreMy meal was fantastic from start to finish! Camille was very attentive and a great server. The bread was a treat. I had the ostrich cooked medium and it was perfectly cooked, flavorful and tasty. I stopped coming about 6 months ago as the service and food just weren’t amazing. Glad I stopped back in, the food and service were memorable. I will be back for more amazing food! Even the GM stopped by the table to say hello and thank me for coming in and enjoying a delicious dinner.
MoreThe atmosphere is exactly what you would expect for a building with this much history. It's quaint, rustic, and modern all at the same time. The menu is upscale with a downhome, comfort, spin. The rustic Caesar salad is fantastic, served as a grilled half of romaine dressed with a house made dressing and sourdough crouton. The Tictoc Pot Roast was delicious, moist, impeccably seasoned and served over the best grits and collard greens I believe I've ever had. The star of the show, however, was the Chateaubriand, lightly seasoned and prepared exquisitely. It was for tender and melted in the mouth. The accompanying potatoes were well made but couldn't stand up to the main event. Definitely a spot to visit if you find yourself in, or near, Macon. Can't wait to return.
MoreA small and intimate dining atmosphere with great appetizers (Shrimp Cocktail, Seafood Dip) and a few fantastic choices for a main course. However, expect a big bill at the end because the food is pretty over priced
MoreWe were her a few years ago and wanted to see if the food has still the same quality. It definitely has! We had the salad bowl on three consecutive days, and we were not dissapointed. This restaurant has been in same place since the 70s. A very early pioneer of vegetarian food in Dunedin. Food is excellent, cheap and varied with good vegan and gluten free options. Small but friendly
MoreQuality Meals... super tasty. Looking forward to going back again. The bill was appropriate. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.
MoreRural ,refreshing newvo soul food is amazing here! Good Eats
We go here every year for birthdays and anniversary and have always received excellent food. Tonight, however, we couldn't eat our appetizer it was so salty. The prime rib was tough and full of grizzle. My Oscar Filet Medallians was very salty and loaded with pepper and we weren't able to eat them either. Management was not there so server had to go back and forth to determine what to do. They did end up doing the right thing though. Despite everything else, the service was excellent.
MoreWe went here tonight and even though the menu was different from the website the chef prepared a special menu for us and it was delicious. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was wonderful. Definitely a place to go.
MoreExcellent cuisine and tempting desserts. Great for a business meeting, tourist outing, date night, girls' night or solo dine-in. The atmosphere is relaxed yet eloquent and the service is superb! Looking forward to another visit!
MoreNice atmosphere. Went for a work celebration, had the Bone in Ribeye, whipped potatoes, and an amazing chocolate cake. Good food, steak cooked just right, slow night, still spent 2 hours here. Cool history about the restaurant, and those that performed, including Little Richard.
MoreThis place may seem a little daunting considering it is a really nice restaurant. But it's anything but daunting. Where are nice slacks with no rips or tears and a collar for the men and you will have a wonderful experience I promise. The staff was very attentive the food rocked it and we will be visiting again very soon. Guess you might see a little Spirit or to running around
MoreGo to this restaurant. I've seen that they have struggled in recent past times but today's 2020 kitchen is putting out terrific food in a historic setting. We had a wonderful meal. Staff worked it well and we channeled Otis Redding and Little Richard all evening. Good golly miss Molly! Have a meal at the Tic Toc!
MoreMy wife and I have been going here for the passed several years for special occasions and we have always loved it. We dined here for New Years Eve and it was not what we were expecting. They were under staffed and the staff was far from the usual polished service we are used to having here. It was very unorganized. Servers looked like they had just walked in off the street. Took forever to get a drink from the bar. Food was dry, semi warm and way over salted. The food was not at all worth the price. If you are going to change the restaurant concept...change the name so guests know to expect a completely different experience. We will not be back. Very disappointing.
MoreThis place really isn't much to write about. Service was ok. Food was not worth its price at all. We both ordered the lobster bisque to start. It was basically just liquid... where's the pieces of lobster?? Not to mention it was almost lukewarm. It really tasted as if it was microwaved. I ordered the lamb lollipops and my wife ordered the sea bass.
MoreFor the creativity and thought of the dish I give these 3 stars. Ordered the Ostrich medallions which came with a garlic mushroom sauce and garlic mashed potatoes. Ordered the medallions medium well, they came medium. None of the food had an distinctive flavor to it. For the price and the place I expected something pretty good. Maybe it was the cook on duty that night,
MoreVery responsive service and a touch of classiness downtown. If you like upscale dining or just want to sip a propperly made Manhattan or martini, this may be your place.
MoreI have been here twice now and everything I have consumed here has been amazing. Their menu may seem small but they have such a wide variety of things to try. I had ostrich (what?) for the first time here and it was amazing. The second time I had the filet Oscar and wow. That filet was incredible but yeah if you can come here I highly suggest it. It was never very busy each time I went and the service was great.
MoreLove this place! Walked in without a reservation and was seated quickly. Everything we had to eat for dinner was delicious. Recommend the ribeye and the lobster bisque. I also recommend the coffee for two!
MoreFood was good because of the different menu. Love trying new foods and this establishment gave us the ability. Expensive. Mixed drinks were ok but nothing great. The history of place is what drew us there. At one time it was a Speak Easy.
MoreMy preferred scene for quality quality meals. Visited on a Wednesday I think. I look forward to a return visit. The place has an awesome atmosphere. Food is like a place in Baltimore I liked.
Morequality meals... my preferred treat. This location is one of my favorites. I had a cousin come into town and she asked me to go back here.
MoreWonderful experience in cuisine. Thank you for the hospitality and history of the restaurant. Enjoyed the Osso Buco. Will definitely return. Highly recommend for business travelers.
MoreHad a GREAT time last night!!! Mike and Porche are the best. We were out celebrating our friends anniversary and were well accommodated. Mike and Porche exceeding our expectations. The food was delicious!!! No complaints, highly satisfied. Will definitely be coming back.
MoreMy wife and I had a wonderful time at last night's Christmas party in Macon.
This place really isn't much to write about. Both served with your choose of roasted or mashed potatoes..
MoreWonderful service and food! The waiter we had was so kind and thoughtful. We met the chefs and they were also very nice. This place has so much history and I was told the food is all locally sourced which is great! We were not disappointed!
MoreA storied location and establishment. The maître d’, Michael, was also the business manager. He was focused on pleasing us and ensuring we had a great experience. The waitress was also very good. Excellent bar. Nice drink menu. I really liked the tableware, which is ver stylish. The menu is unique, offering classic southern dishes and more ubiquitous dishes too. The food was good. The appear to have recently opened, so things were slightly off, but the food was good, the service was great, and they were working it very hard. Highly recommend it.
MoreWe’ve waited a total of two hours just to be told that they were out of everything we ordered. We had a party of 17 that was reserved two weeks in advance. The place was very elegant. That’s why I gave an extra star
MoreDrinks were extremely overpriced. $16 for a long island tea which I didn't find out till I got the bill. My fault on that though. However, I ordered the $30 14oz New York Strip medium well, it was extremely dry. I asked for steak sauce but they dont serve it. My daughter ordered the Lobster Ravioli with crawfish but asked for shrimp instead of the crawfish. $6 extra for 5 shrimp and only 5 ravioli on the plate. I normally dont complain about price if the food was great but this was an awful experience. I told my server that my steak was dry and she offered me bbq sauce. We will NEVER go back again.
MoreI got mixed reviews from co-workers about going here for a romantic date night with the hubby. So I figured we'd give it a try. The greeter, who then became our server after we were seated, had a somewhat sloppy appearance. The table we were first taken to had a glob of something on it, so we had to be moved to another table. The place had a musty smell & the carpet was sticky. The cocktail I ordered was really watered down & I normally would have switched it, but I didn't think they could have made anything better so I didn't bother. We ordered the lobster ravioli, which was actually very good, & the steak & garlic mashed potatoes, which was also quite tasty. I gave it 3 stars more for the atmosphere & because I felt uncomfortable because it felt unsanitary. Not sure if I'd go there again.
MoreQuality Meals and the scene at this spot is very good. Visited on Sat I believe. Service treated us so nice.
MoreFood was excellent, but service not so good. Place was not very busy, regardless, we got our food well over an hour after we ordered it. Numerous menu items were not available, and the menu online is irrelevant. Don't know that I'll go back.
MoreSomething has change this place use to be good now it is a train wreck food was HORRIBLE do not waste your time R.I.P. tic toc room Macon will miss you
